A second, optical lens gives operators the ability to verify what the thermal sensor is telling them, without the need for another camera.

This makes the camera more sensitive – detecting to a noise-equivalent temperature difference (NETD) of 40mk (previous sensors went to 50 mk). The camera has an optical lens of 4 or 6mm. Using a thermal overlay on the optical lens image, operators can easily and quickly see the pertinent information at the same time. This also means that there are fewer channels being used in the system.

Based on deep learning algorithms, the camera also delivers powerful and accurate behaviour analysis, including detections such as line crossing, intrusion, region entrance and exit. The camera can be used for solutions incorporating smaller perimeters, like yards or car parks for small businesses. It comes into its own inside buildings, especially where fire protection capabilities are needed, like warehouse and rubbish dumps, where avoiding fire is a priority.
