The spectrum of visible light is actually only a small part of a large band of detectable signals, or waves, that travel through matter. The electromagnetic spectrum contains radiation from various invisible wave types, each with a unique wavelength. Thermal radiation is one of these, featuring longer wavelengths than those of visible light, and is therefore generally invisible to the human eye.

Any object with a temperature above absolute zero emits a detectable amount of radiations. The higher an object’s temperature, the more radiations are is emitted. Taking advantage of the temperature differences between objects, thermal cameras make the invisible thermal radiation “visible” in the form of heat zone images.

Hikvision is dedicated to creating professional protection solutions for the mass market. Our new HeatPro Series does just that, boosting perimeter protection with unparalleled accuracy and fire detection with superlative sensitivity.

Featuring deep-learning video analytics in all weather and light conditions, these cameras hit the target in both cost and performance for a variety of residential, commercial and industrial applications.

Focus on Targets

Thermal cameras sense an object’s heat radiation, capturing images 24/7, regardless of environmental factors such as darkness, lowlight, strong backlight, etc.

With thermal cameras, users easily locate objects and potential threats that are invisible to conventional optical cameras. Meanwhile, thermal cameras don’t emit visible light, better concealing their presence and position when they need to remain hidden.

Embedded with deep learning algorithms, HeatPro cameras accurately identify humans and vehicles even when they overlap or when they are in challenging environments. The focus on critical targets greatly increases alarm accuracy.
