Hikvision announces its win in the 2024 GIT Security Awards for its Solar-powered Security Camera series. The GIT Security Awards are voted on by GIT’s readership of security professionals, who chose the camera to win in the ‘Building Safety and Perimeter Protection’ category.

The Solar-powered Security Camera uses a solar panel to charge its battery, which stores this energy to provide power for the camera. The integrated 4G module enables a wireless connection to transfer the data. This means it can be flexibly deployed in areas that have little or no electricity or network. It is used for monitoring outdoor assets - anything from farming and forests to temporary applications like festivals.
