Crowd control

With large amounts of people moving in, out, and around a stadium, crowd control is an essential part of operations. Hikvision can provide solutions that keep track of large areas in high definition and generate automated alerts in the event of accidents and emergencies, helping security teams to assist visitors far more quickly. They can also help to monitor the flow of people moving through certain parts of the building using people counting technology. Broadcast

Bringing sports to a media-watching public outside the stadium is big business. Not everyone can go to the game itself, so engaging coverage that help them get into the game is very popular. Hikvision partners with sports video expert Game On, for example, to provide analysis and coverage of the whole game. PanoVu cameras offer 180°, and with image enhancement from GameOn, this can be used by broadcasters to provide an exciting show. They can have a fully automated application where the software automatically follows (pan, tilt and zoom) that part of a live event that is most interesting to viewers. The software can also automatically recognize certain ‘events’ – for example, a goal, so viewers don’t miss the highlights, even when they are not there.

The analysis of a game can also be crucial for coaches to help improve team performance and inform their training decisions.

Ticket scanning

In any stadium getting people through the entrance quickly while making sure they have a valid ticket can be challenging. Traditional methods require a lot of manpower to look at each ticket and can also be quite slow, leading to frustrating queues. Hikvision works with Animative Group to enable fast seamless entry using the Minmoe access terminal to scan a ticket – whether printed or digital. The system then validates the ticket and allows entry through an access control gate. This makes the lines move more quickly and also reduces the need for ticket checking employees at all the gates.
