Special Notes
1 Within 36 months from product activation, upgrades and technical support are free of charge. After 36 months, you need to purchase maintenance services to continue to enjoy upgrades and technical support services.
2 If you are using a customized version, please contact the local Hikvision branch for a separate assessment of the feasibility of the upgrade. You can view the version number by clicking About in the upper right corner of the software website, and determine whether it is a baseline version by the version number naming. If the product version number naming consists of the main version number and date, it is a baseline version, such as 2.6.0.20240511; if the version number contains JKN, IPM or DZP, or ends with 50, 60, etc., it is a customized version; if you cannot determine, please contact the local Hikvision branch for assistance.
3 Taking into account the iteration cycle of technical upates and cost of compatibility testing, current strategy is to test the upgrade feasibility of 5 versions forward, which spans about a 36 months, with the exception of versions involving major product architecture upgrade and adjustment. The software version with a change in the first digit of the version number indicates major product architecture upgrade.
