Hikvision, the world’s leading supplier of innovative video surveillance products and solutions, is working in partnership with IPS Intelligent Video Analytics developer of IP-based video analytic solutions. This relationship has resulted in intelligent analytics modules for Hikvision cameras – specifically for the detection of Sabotage, Intrusion in indoor and outdoor areas, Loitering and Motion.
IPS Analytics has built up a wealth of experience over its more than 50 years as a specialist in the VCA field, with a particular strength in perimeter protection. This is the first integration partner to offer embedding of the modules directly to the camera ‘on the edge’, using a new distribution-friendly licensing. This is the simplest way yet to maximise the real-time detection capabilities of any solution.
The IPS analytic modules have been integrated into the cameras via the Hikvision Embedded Open Platform (HEOP). They are easy to install on the platform and simple to configure via a highly intuitive web browser. This browser facilitates operation of the modules (one per camera) and enables the transmission and display of the event and meta data.
Alongside the enhanced detection capabilities of the integration, other benefits include:
• trained machine learning technology to suppress disturbance
• configuration of capture and alarm zone
• setting of object sizes and perspectives.
“Our state-of-the-art and intelligent IPS video analytics in combination with the powerful innovative Hikvision cameras will offer substantial added value to our partners’ and customers’ projects,” says IPS director Peter Treutler. “The partnership with Hikvision will open up tremendous new business opportunities for us and we look forward to working together. ”
“Empowering partners is very important to us at Hikvision”, says Jens Berthelsen, Partner Alliance Manager for Hikvision Europe. “This integration with IPS Analytics gives customers an enhanced solution when it comes to real-time detection of security-related objects of events. It’s another example of how our ground-breaking AI technologies and the video analytical prowess of IPS can really make a difference to a bespoke end-user solution.”
