How Hikvision Dealer Moore Than Electronics Enhanced Campus Safety at Ben’s Ford Christian School
Ben’s Ford Christian School in Bogalusa, LA, upgraded its security system with the help of Hikvision dealer Moore Than Electronics. The new IP camera solution provides complete coverage of the entire campus, ensuring the safety of students and staff.
Established in 1983, Ben’s Ford Christian School hosts approximately 350 students. Recognizing the need for robust security measures, the school’s leadership collaborated with MTE to address blind spots, open spaces, and hallways. Over 70 Hikvision IP cameras, including the innovative ColorVu technology, were strategically installed to ensure 24/7 security.
MTE deployed Hikvision’s PanoVu panoramic lineup and strategically placed over 50 cameras, including domes, turrets, and bullets, with ColorVu technology. The advanced ColorVu system ensured vivid color video and images day and night, contributing to better deterrence and security.
The strategic placement of the 4-directional Multi-Sensor PanoVu Network Camera DS-2CD6D24FWD-IZHS in the gymnasium eliminated blind spots with its 360-degree monitoring capability. Plus, the 8 MP Hikvision Panoramic ColorVu Fixed Turret Network Camera DS-2CD2387G2P-LSU/SL at the football field incorporated strobe lights and audio alarms for enhanced deterrence against intruders.
To address privacy concerns, a 64-channel M-Series NVR was employed for local storage of video footage. This allowed the school to avoid cloud-hosted footage of students. The M-Series NVRs, supporting true 8K streaming, enabled comprehensive monitoring through the Hikvision app on iPads, providing the coaching staff a convenient way to stream 32 video channels simultaneously.
