Hikvision is grateful to participate in the Health Facilities Management magazine (HFM) article, “Surveillance systems keep hospitals safe: Advanced technology and greater use of analytics drive recent innovations (page 44).” In the article, Hikvision’s VP of Marketing was quoted alongside other industry professionals about video technology advances that are improving hospital security.
Covered was Hikvision’s TandemVu PTZ technology which features a bullet and PTZ camera in one unit so security professionals can zoom in on a suspect while still maintaining a big-picture view of the entire scene. Unlike traditional PTZs that lose the big picture when it pans, tilts, or zooms, the TandemVu cameras enable less staff to do more and improve visibility with limited resources. This camera series also features Hikvision’s proprietary ColorVu technology which provides vivid colorful imaging, even in darkness.
“[ColorVu technology] effectively delivers full-color video and images around the clock for facilities that have 24/7 operations,” said John Xiao, Hikvision USA VP of Marketing, in the Health Facilities Management magazine article about hospital video security.
For example, if a suspect was wearing a certain color shirt or a vehicle is a specific color, ColorVu technology facilitates views with full-color detail, making it easier to communicate important details to the police when a crime occurs.
