Our ambition is clear: to reduce waste and minimize our carbon footprint. We're proud to introduce clean and green practices throughout our manufacturing process, such as improving energy utilization, promoting water conservation and recycling, reducing pollution, regulating chemical management, and adopting sustainable materials in packaging. At the heart of all these initiatives lies the goal of mitigating the environmental impact of our production and operation activities.

A Focus on Key Areas

Cleaner Energy: Hikvision is diligently managing its energy resources, including electricity, natural gas, diesel, and gasoline, to optimize energy efficiency throughout the manufacturing process. Through process improvements and equipment upgrades, we're making significant strides in energy conservation. Notably, our commitment to clean energy procurement saw us purchase 32,852 MWh of green electricity in 2022 and generate 4,508.3 MWh of power through photovoltaic units.
Cleaner Water: As responsible stewards of water resources, we've taken active measures to improve water use efficiency and resource management. Our actions include balanced water testing, water use monitoring, water-saving transformations, and rainwater collection, all aimed at reducing water waste.
Cleaner Waste Management: To minimize our environmental impact, Hikvision closely monitors all emissions and waste. We've established a waste classification and disposal system, categorizing waste into general, hazardous, and industrial waste for appropriate disposal methods. This ensures a standard and traceable waste disposal process.
Greener Packaging: Hikvision is an advocate of sustainable packaging. While ensuring product protection, we've taken steps to reduce packaging materials, promote degradable alternatives, and increase recycling efficiency. For instance, our commitment to reducing plastic cushioning has already resulted in a remarkable 767-ton reduction in annual carbon emissions.
