In April 2025, Hikvision published its 2024 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, marking the seventh consecutive year of transparently sharing our ESG commitments and practices. For the first time, we introduce a new sustainability philosophy to guide our ESG practices: ‘THRIVE’. With “Tech for Good” at its core, THRIVE focuses on Harmony, Reliability, Integrity, Value chain, and the Environment. With this new philosophy leading, we are committed to working hand in hand with our stakeholders to build a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable future.

Technology is a capability we possess, while using it to create social values is our choice and commitment. Beyond driving technological innovation to support our customers and empower various industries, we also believe in “Tech for a Better World”. With this vision in mind, we have outlined our efforts to leverage for positive impact across five key dimensions.

Tech for Homeland

At Hikvision, we leverage cutting-edge technologies to foster innovation in urban governance and social services, helping to make our homelands more livable. For example, our smart traffic management solutions are deployed in hundreds of cities and at thousands of intersections to enhance traffic flow and reduce risks, thus helping create safer and more efficient urban mobility.

Tech for Environment

Hikvision contributes to nature conservation through our AIoT-powered environment monitoring system. With a strong focus on biodiversity protection and natural disaster prevention, we strive for a greener planet. Our commitment can be seen in our thermal imaging technologies for forest protection. As of 2024, our thermal products have supported forest fire prevention efforts in 264 cities, significantly reducing wildfire risks and ensuring long-term forest protection.

Tech for Industry

Industries are the backbone of the economy and the engines of social progress. Leveraging AIoT technologies, we empower industries to digitalize operations, enhance efficiency and safety, and drive lasting sustainable developments. For instance, Hikvision partnered with a leading automobile component supplier to implement digital solutions that significantly enhance their smart manufacturing capabilities, operational efficiency, and sustainability performances.

Tech for Community

Hikvision remains dedicated to improving public welfare to create a harmonious society. Our efforts support a future where the elderly receive proper care, children are well-protected, students benefit from better educational resources, and medical services are more accessible to all. For example, in 2024, Hikvision’s Medical Pressure Ulcer PDA has enabled Zhejiang Provincial People’s Hospital to establish an integrated digital wound management system, improving smart healthcare and enabling more precise wound care for patients.

Tech for Culture

Hikvision is committed to integrating technology with cultural heritage preservation, collaborating with cultural protection institutions for intelligent conservation and better cultural experiences for the public. In 2024, Hikvision partnered with Qingyuan County under the STAR Program for Social Good to enhance fire prevention for the Lanxi Bridge, the largest single-span ancient covered wooden bridge in China. Together, we became guardians of our treasured legacies.
