The farmer quickly came to the rescue to help the ailing newborn calf, saving the animal’s life. Rather than spending the night at the barn, he was able to monitor the mother cow’s progress from inside the house throughout the night. In this case, use of the camera unit helped the farmer to avoid the death of an animal, resulting in cost savings.

HSI Group was predominantly a combustion company originally, Brodie says. While security and combustion might not seem an obvious match, the team found that customers in the oil and gas industry had a need for help in both areas. “It has really allowed us to diversify and given us different revenue streams,” Brodie explains. “It's also introduced us to a lot of new clients.”
