Hikvision’s senior director of cybersecurity, Chuck Davis, will deliver a keynote on cybersecurity at the upcoming AiN (authorized integrators network group) virtual “Live and Learn” conference. Davis will present online on Wed., May 5 at 1 p.m. EST about “Cybersecurity: Internet-connected systems and data cyber-threats are on the rise.”
AiN is hosting a series of online fireside chats by various experts throughout the 2021 calendar year on topics from business practices to the state of the security industry.
Davis’ keynote will discuss the impact of cybersecurity on the physical security industry. Davis’ philosophy is summed up in his words: “Physical security companies should be competitors in the marketplace, but they need to be allies in cyberspace. Cybersecurity experts at leading IT companies regularly collaborate to defend against cybersecurity attacks. The security industry needs to do the same. That’s the way to strengthen security industry products, policies and practices. And it’s the best way to keep our businesses and employees safe from cybersecurity threats.”
The presentation will cover various cybersecurity topics and trends, including:
- The proliferation of IoT devices and what you can do to stay safe
- Applying Zero Trust architecture to better secure assets, data and your network
- How each player across the security industry can take responsibility for cybersecurity and know what role they must take to secure devices
Davis is a 20-year cybersecurity veteran who was recently named one of the “Top Cybersecurity Leaders of 2021” by Security magazine.
