École Notre Dame is a school serving over 200 students from preschool through CM2 (Grade 5) in Montfort-sur-Meu, France. The school is committed to offering a learning environment that grows with its students and teaching practices. As part of a long-term digital development plan, and in line with national education guidelines, the school continues to explore new ways to enrich classroom interaction. It also aims to support diverse learning styles and introduce more visual and collaborative elements into daily lessons.
The school deployed Hikvision WonderHub Interactive Displays (DS-D5C75RB/A), along with Wireless Dongles (DS-D5SC3B-B). These 4K displays feature anti-glare technology and blue light protection for comfortable viewing. The dual Android and Windows systems make them easy to use, while EDLA certification ensures reliable access to commonly used educational apps. The wireless transmitters allow teachers to share content from their laptops instantly, without cables, and even control their computers directly from the screen.
The interactive displays are now used regularly in Cycle 2 and Cycle 3 (Grade 1-5) classes, especially for subjects such as mathematics, science, reading, history, and geography. Teachers use the screens to explore maps together, solve math problems collaboratively, annotate content in real time, and turn reading lessons into interactive activities. Videos, animations, and simulations are smoothly integrated into lessons, helping abstract concepts become easier to understand. Beyond classes, the screens are also used for quizzes, educational games, and staff meetings.
The results have been widely welcomed by both teachers and students. Classrooms have become more dynamic, with students more willing to participate and interact. “Students are much more motivated. They love coming to the board to interact with the exercises,” says a CM2 teacher. Teachers also benefit from faster lesson setup and greater freedom of movement. “The smart screens allow us to vary teaching approaches and make lessons more engaging,” the school principal adds. Encouraged by this experience, École Notre Dame plans to gradually extend interactive displays to more classrooms, continuing its journey toward a modern and inclusive learning environment.
