Study Recommends IAM, MFA and Password Management to Reduce Security Concerns, Vulnerabilities and Hacks

Hikvision on Use of Password Management Strategies to Reduce Security Concerns and Hacks

In Security magazine, the article “Why identity and access management [IAM] is critical to securing a remote workforce” discusses a LastPass study that recommends IAM, MFA and password management to reduce security concerns, vulnerabilities and risk of hack.

IAM (identity and access management) systems help manage digital identities for people, software apps and programs, as well as hardware.

From the article: “Almost every business agrees that IAM is critical to securing their remote workforce: 98 percent of organizations surveyed depend on IAM solutions to keep their business secure in the work from anywhere era. IAM solutions such as single sign-on, multi-factor authentication and password management help ensure employees have the secure access they need to stay productive, while IT has visibility and control over every login.”

Additional findings of the study include:

  • 62 percent of respondents believe multi-factor authentication (MFA) is key to securing their remote workforce. Learn more about MFA by reading this blog by Hikvision’s senior director of cybersecurity.

  • 35 percent of those surveyed said secure access for employees is a critical objective.

  • 59 percent of IT decision makers “strongly agree that increasing security for their remote workforce through IAM is a critical priority,” according to the article.
