Hikvision Source Code Transparency Center Video Now Online
Hikvision USA Inc. announced the opening of its Source Code Transparency Center (SCTC), the first of its kind in the security industry. An overview video about the center is available now on our YouTube channel at this link.
Opened in 2018, the center demonstrates Hikvision’s commitment to product security and transparency. The Source Code Transparency Center (SCTC) is located at our North American headquarters in California. The goal of the facility is to provide an opportunity for officials in the United States and Canada to review the source code for IP cameras and NVRs sold by the company.
In the original announcement, Chuck Davis, senior director of cybersecurity for Hikvision North America, said Hikvision is committed to developing products and solutions that conform to the highest security standards. "By opening our source code for review, we continue to demonstrate Hikvision’s commitment to product security and transparency,” he added.
