Hikvision on Password Hacks, Exploiting Vulnerabilities and Other Security Concerns
In the Canadian Security magazine article, “How ethical hacking can improve your security posture,” the author discusses ethical hacking as a method to prevent security concerns, password hacks, and identify any vulnerabilities.
From the article: “Often referred to as ethical hackers, white hat hackers are employed by organizations to look for vulnerabilities in security defenses. Despite using the same tactics as black hat hackers, this group has permission from the organization making what they do entirely legal. While they use their knowledge to find ways to break the defenses, they then work alongside security teams to fix issues before others discover them.”
Criminal hackers, also called “black hat hackers,” are typically motivated by personal or financial gain, according to the article. In comparison, ethical hackers can help organizations uncover vulnerabilities before they lead to security breach or other concerns.
