Dec 7, 2022 - Hikvision training content from its eLearning platform has been used by the ITE College East in Singapore in their curriculum to teach students about the technical and operational side of video security technology. This allows them to achieve accreditation to CGSA (Certified General Security Associate) Standard, which can open up future careers in the security industry.
Giving a solid industry knowledge base
CGSA-CCTV certification focuses on essential theoretical knowledge and applications of general security systems and products. The certification is designed for installers, integrators, engineers, college students, and anyone else who is interested in working in security.
It provides a solid foundation for core skills and knowledge, so when students successfully complete the course, their certificate is recognized across the world by security companies.
ITE College East is a college of Enterprise & Innovation, where students receive industry-relevant training. The college also works to nurture their innovative and enterprising spirit.
The courses go down well at the college, with students and teachers alike enjoying and appreciating the content. One lecturer said: “The course has provided useful insights into how to build and deploy a basic video network security system. My students have also picked up interesting facts about PoE IP cameras, PTZ IP cameras and network video recorders.”
