This comprehensive feature includes three powerful tools—AcuSeek, AcuSearch, and Smart Search—that work together to help you search seamlessly and, above all, fast.
Whether you’re an individual user in Personal Mode or working with others in Team Mode, the powerful Intelligent Search capabilities in Hik-Connect 6 run on a secure cloud-based platform that keeps your data safe and private. Each search method serves a unique purpose, and when combined, they create a complete solution for virtually any security scenario.
Three search methods
AcuSeek: Fast search with either text or voice
AcuSeek lets you search using natural language—simply type or speak what you’re looking for in everyday phrases like “red car yesterday afternoon” or “person in blue jacket this morning.” The mobile app makes searching even easier with voice input that automatically converts your spoken words to text. You can search in your preferred language, and the system understands your intent regardless of how you phrase it.

AcuSearch: Rapidly retrieve videos of what you’re looking for
Once you’ve found a potentially suspicious person, vehicle, or something you’ve lost in your footage, AcuSearch helps you track across all your cameras. The process is straightforward: select a person or vehicle directly in your video playback or upload a reference image to find matches. This image-based search is perfect for tracking movements and confirming trajectories once you’ve identified a subject of interest. You’ll be able to review where that person or vehicle appears across your entire system, giving a comprehensive view of their movements.
Smart Search: Quickly filter targets entering a designated area
Smart Search focuses on specific locations. When you need to know who or what passed through a particular area, simply draw a box around the zone in your video frame. The system then filters results to show only people or vehicles that entered that specific space. This dramatically reduces the footage you need to review and is ideal when investigating incidents at specific locations, such as doorways, parking spaces, or restricted areas.
