Q: How does SYSMON solve these problems?
A: SYSMON is all about convergence. It converges computing resources, networks, storage systems, system administration, software administration—as well as a lot of advanced functionality such as predictive analysis—into a single, unified, platform. We sell this to companies who provide remote monitoring services. It enables them to significantly speed up their response times for identifying issues, making decisions, detecting failures, and initiating procedures to address problems. In other words, it enables them to deliver much faster, more streamlined services at a significantly lower cost.
Over time we have continued to develop and enhance the system. For example, the cloud system has been joined by two separate apps—one for the remote monitoring companies themselves and another one designed specifically for use by their clients. These apps enable operators and/or customers to order different services, manage their vehicle fleets, or schedule tasks such as patrols, watering plants and collecting mail. It also enables client security systems to be activated or deactivated at particular times on different days of the week.
Q: How did you incorporate Hikvision technologies into your solution?
A: We began working with Hikvision in 2016, following the Exposec exhibition in São Paulo. What initially struck me was how Hik-Connect was able to greatly simplify the process of providing remote, yet secure, access to Hikvision cameras via a simple cloud-based account. Since then, whilst Hikvision has continued to evolve its platforms and devices, SYSMON has always kept pace. Today, in addition to Hik-Connect, we integrate with Hik-Partner Pro, Hik IP Receiver Pro, Device Gateway and—via OpenAPI—HikCentral. With these integrations users get access to all devices that are linked to their Hikvision account directly within SYSMON. It means that operators can view live video feeds, recordings, snapshots, and event details from Hikvision devices without switching programs.
