Surveillance System Provided by Hikvision Enhances Security

Hikvision high-definition video surveillance equipment contributes to secure environment for community at Operation INASMUCH Men’s Shelter in Fayetteville, N.C.

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. – Dec. 11, 2017 – Hikvision USA Inc., a leading provider of artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics and other emerging technologies, and the world’s largest manufacturer of video surveillance products and solutions, worked with integrator Holmes Security Systems to provide a security system for ”The Lodge” at Operation INASMUCH Men’s Shelter in Fayetteville, N.C.

A brand new transitional residence for homeless men, the Lodge helps visitors regain independence, offering job training and job search assistance, and a secure place to live and eat daily meals.

“The cameras work so well,” said Ray Helton, executive director at the Lodge. “More than 50 previously homeless men have gotten jobs in the past five months, and 23 men have moved to a better place. Many are improving themselves physically, mentally and spiritually. These cameras have helped in many ways.”

Hikvision provided 14 surveillance cameras. Holmes Security Systems donated installation of the system, along with supplemental equipment. Giving back to the community is one of Holmes’s core values, said Dave Foster, Holmes Security sales and marketing manager. “Our IT guys love Hikvision surveillance systems, especially the tech support, which is very good. That’s one of the big reasons we like Hikvision,” Foster added.

Hikvision’s 3 MP Outdoor Network Turret Cameras (Model # DS-2CD2332-I) were chosen for their high resolution, 2048 x 1536 imaging. Hikvision’s 21-Inch Monitor (Model # DS-D5021FC) provides sharp, clear imaging for security personnel.

“Hikvision considers it a privilege to join product and service providers who, together, assisted the INASMUCH operation in establishing a strong video surveillance system,” said Jeffery He, president of Hikvision USA Inc. and Hikvision Canada Inc. “Hearing reports of how a secure environment has helped men begin to successfully move back to personal independence reinforces Hikvision’s commitment to supporting local communities, while providing high-value, reliable, and innovative security systems.”
