New 8 MP Solar Kit is Here: Hikvision’s Advanced Series for Bigger Projects Enhances Remote Security

Hikvision’s new Advanced Series 8 MP 4G Solar-Powered Security System has arrived. Compared to the original, standard series, the newly advanced series will suit larger outdoor security projects. In proactive mode, battery use on cloudy/rainy days now reaches up to 7 days (compared to the previous 4.5 days with the 4 MP kit). The new solar kit now includes human/vehicle classification provided by 2nd Gen AcuSense technology for smart perimeter protection.

The new 8 MP Solar Kit includes:

A camera module (camera with 4G SIM card slot)
A power module (solar panel and rechargeable battery)
A communication module (junction box)
An installation bracket

This solar kit requires no power or ethernet cables to function. This allows the system to work totally wirelessly and extends video security to places where cables cannot reach. AcuSense Technology also alerts users to trespassing and vehicle break-ins. Alarms will trigger when preset intrusion types take place and related videos are sorted by categories for easier retrieval.

A key benefit of the new 8 MP Solar Kit is its efficient power utilization, resulting in reliable, extended performance. A fully charged battery supports 24/7 camera operation in “performance mode” for up to 5 days, and for up to 80 days in a less active mode. The battery charges even on cloudy or rainy days. Extreme weather is not an issue for this solar kit. The system comes with a built-in heater for the ability to operate at temperatures as low as -4 degrees Fahrenheit (-20 degrees Celsius). The kit is well-suited for 24/7 protection over farms, forests, highways, and more.
