Mission 500 Northeast Golf Challenge Raises Funds to Support New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation Children’s Camp

Hikvision Regional Sales Manager New Jersey Sherwin Xing helps organize school supplies for a backpack kit building project that took place at the Sept. 21 Mission 500 Golf Challenge.

Hikvision Team Members Join Other Security Industry Members to Fundraise for Important Cause

Members of the Hikvision USA Northeast regional team joined other security industry volunteers on Monday, Sept. 21 for the nonprofit Mission 500 2020 Golf Challenge to raise funds for disadvantaged children.

Funds raised from the event will support the children’s camp hosted by the New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to the advancement of burn care, research, prevention and education. The camp is designed for burn victims under the age of 18 to attend a fun summer event where they can forget about their burn injuries.

Hikvision sponsored a golf foursome, and Hikvision USA regional sales manager for New Jersey, Sherwin Xing, played golf at the 18-hole, all day event. Xing also helped assemble backpacks that will be delivered to area school children in need.

Held at the Bella Vista Country Club in Marlboro Township, N.J., the event wrapped up with a reception and awards ceremony.

“Hikvision is always grateful for the opportunity to partner with Mission 500 and our security industry peers in corporate social responsibility projects to support children and families in crisis,” said Hikvision regional sales manager John Centofanti. “It was a beautiful day for a golf outing, and a successful fundraiser for the New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation,” he added.

Mission 500 is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the needs of children and communities in crisis.

Corporate Social Responsibility is a Hikvision value, and Hikvision employees have participated in various Mission 500 fundraiser events in the last several years.

Hikvision regularly partners with Mission 500 on corporate social responsibility projects. Earlier this year Hikvision USA helped kick off the security industry’s COVID-19 relief response by donating $5,000 to Feeding America, the largest domestic hunger-relief organization. Hikvision’s donation was used as matching funds for the first $5,000 donated to the Feeding America project, with the goal of providing one million meals to families in need across the U.S.

Hikvision employees also participate in the annual Mission 500 Hockey Classic, the Security 5K/2K at ISC West, the Puerto Rico service trip where Hikvision employees helped victims of Hurricane Maria rebuild their homes, and several kit building projects to provide backpacks filled with school supplies to students of Title 1 schools.
