Hikvision Releases a Guide to NIS2 Directive

Hikvision Releases a Guide to the NIS2 Directive, Helping the Security Industry Better Understand the New Framework

Hikvision releases a quick guide to the European Union’s (EU’s) 2022 “Network and Information Security (NIS2) Directive” to provide the security industry with insights into the main changes and requirements introduced by this new regulatory framework.

The NIS2 Directive adopted in November 2022 has replaced and updated the first-ever European Union (EU) legislation on cybersecurity, the NIS1 Directive adopted in 2016. The aim of the NIS2 is to strengthen the collective cybersecurity level across EU Member States by increasing and harmonizing cybersecurity enforcement requirements for critical infrastructure sectors, strengthening cooperation among cybersecurity authorities, addressing the security of supply chains, and streamlining reporting requirements.

As a global security industry leader, Hikvision is committed to upholding the highest industry standards. Hikvision is prepared to implement changes to ensure compliance with the NIS2. We are committed to supporting the industry and sharing our best practices for addressing the new requirements in this briefing paper.
