Hikvision wins CCTV Product of the Year for fourth consecutive year in PSI Premier Awards
Hikvision has won PSI magazine’s CCTV Product of the Year award for its DS-2TD2617-3 Thermal and Optical Network Camera in the 2019 PSI Premier Awards. It is the fourth year running that Hikvision has won the coveted reader-voted CCTV Product of the Year prize.
The DS-2TD2617-3 network bullet camera provides bi-spectrum high performance all-weather perimeter protection and thermographic temperature measurement, fire detection and smoking detection at the most cost-effective price on the market.
The thermal module provides temperature measurement ranging from -20 to 150 degrees C at 25fps with line crossing, intrusion, and region entry/exit detection capabilities, while the optical module allows the camera to provide picture-in-picture and bi-spectrum fusion images.
The dual imaging modes makes the camera ideal for both all-weather short-range perimeter detection up to 50m, and temperature detection monitoring and alerts in applications including data centres, warehouses, factories, and recycling and waste facilities.
The PSI Premier Awards are run by PSI magazine and voted for by readers. The awards recognise innovation and the highest achievers the security industry has to offer. At the 2019 PSI Premier Awards ceremony, Hikvision was also presented with the award for Security Industry Product of the Year in recognition of its offering across the broad spectrum of the industry, encompassing not just cameras but access control, video intercom, recording technology and more.
Justin Hollis, Hikvision UK & Ireland Marketing Director, said the company was thrilled to receive the awards. “What’s particularly special about winning the CCTV Product of the Year award for the fourth successive year is that it is voted for by readers of PSI magazine, the very people who are hands-on with the products every day – so they know what they’re talking about,” he said. “It’s an acknowledgement of the work of Hikvision’s R&D and product development teams, and the company’s commitment to new product development and technological innovation.”
