Hikvision, the global leader in video surveillance equipment, is helping to ensure a safe education campus across Singapore, with the deployment of Hikvision surveillance monitoring solution, protecting thousands of students.
As the first smart campus project in Singapore, the RP requires the central management of existing CCTV camera, face recognition as well as intelligent behaviour analysis for the safety of the campus.
Based on the understanding of customer CCTV requirement, Hikvision provided an effective solution to meet the customer requirement and earned high customer evaluation.
Hikvision was faced with many challenges at the beginning of the project. Firstly, to integrate with the existing third-party CCTV system and the 3D dashboard on campus. Secondly, to protect the students and staff from criminals, real-time face recognition will trigger fast and efficient blacklist alarm. Not only the existing blacklist but also a real-time behaviour analysis for exception alarm.
Hikvision's pre-sales team clearly identified a number of intelligent behaviour analysis in order to provide a safe campus, which includes Line Crossing, People Fast Moving, Unattended Object, People Density and Illegal Parking.
- An IP-based solution that would use RP’s existing secure virtual private network (VPN).
- Hikvision VMS software was proposed to do central management of all 2000 pcs cameras for 24/7.
- Face recognition server and intelligent fusion server are provided for face recognition and behaviour analysis
- HikCentral VMS shall provide central management of all CCTV in the campus.
