To use POS function, both DVR and POS server should be configured and you can configure DVR locally or via iVMS-4200.

An internet connected device (camera, DVR, NVR) can be configured to be accessed from outside its local network. Using an IP address allocated by the internet provider, the end user is able to connect to this device. Internet services for non-enterprise solutions commonly provide a dynamic IP address to its users. The lack of a static IP address means the user must reconfigure their device connection settings every time a new IP address is allocated. Managing multiple devices will prove difficult if IP addresses are constantly changing. This issue can be solved by using a Dynamic Domain Name System (DDNS) Service. A fixed address is assigned by the DDNS service provider that can be used to connect to the desired device. The device itself must be configured with the DDNS credentials so that it may automatically update the service with the newly allocated IP address. Through this service, devices under dynamic IP addresses can maintain static addresses. Hikvision products support a number of third party DDNS services in addition to HiDDNS/Hik-Connect. 

Heat map is a graphical representation of data represented by colors. The heat map function is usually used to analyze the visit times and dwell time of customers in a configured area.  

As for RAID 5, if one HDD is broken, the RAID5 will be in degraded mode, and we can rebuild RAID5 to recover data. If there are two HDDs broken, the RAID5 will be offline. 

NVR which supports NFS/iSCSI protocol can add up to 8 * 8T Net HDD including IPSAN or NAS.

Note: This function can be configured in website and local GUI.

The HDD Clone function can be used to copy the hard disk of NVR and back up the hard disk data of NVR. You need to log on NVR local GUI, then go to the Maintenance-HDD OperationHDD to configure.

The customer may have the request to save the video record backup.

Note: This function need more than two hard disks and the redundancy must be used in group mode.

Currently there are two ways to connect NVR with POS terminals, via network or via serial port. For example: The NVR initiates the connection to the POS server for the POS data communications between POS server camera. 

Custom protocol is created by users with RTSP and 554 port. Then, IP cameras can be added to NVR by custom protocol to get naked stream. Note: As for Hikvision cameras, the stream paths are as below. It is enough to fill in one kind of them.

For NVR models which have independent output interface, if main output and auxiliary output have the different live view configuration. Even if auxiliary output don’t connect to screen, it will also waste some decoding ability of NVR.  

N+1 hot spare function is used for backup NVR. The maximum of ‘N’ is 32.

The smart playback function provides an easy way to get through the less effective information. When you select the smart playback mode, the system will analyze the video containing the motion or VCA information. It will mark it with red color and play it in normal speed, while the video without motion will be played in the 16-time speed（the speed function can be configurable, -E/-Q is not supported）. The smart playback rules and areas are configurable.

Note: This speed function is now supported by almost all -K/-I/-super I series NVR.

1:There are two different ways to use NVR cloud storage function： NVR as Storage Server: It can be added to other HCP or NVRs. NVR as Client End: You can add Cloud Storage Server to the client NVR, such as Hikvision cloud 2.0 or another NVR (which is set as storage server). 

2：For NVR Cloud Storage Function, the protocol we use is Hikvision Cloud 2.0, and it only support Hikvision Cloud 2.0. The 3rd party cloud storage services such as Google Cloud, Baidu Cloud and Ali Cloud are not supported. 

3：It only supports the storage of alarm pictures and does not support any video or data. 

The function of HTTPS ensures the secure access of web services by adding digital signature certificate authentication. All series of NVRs support HTTPS function. This article takes k series NVR (DS-7608NI-K2 v4.30.061 build 210313) as an example to introduce how to use HTTPS function.

1. Open the waterproof cap of the switch button. 

2. Press and hold the switch button. 5s later, the image will be no video because the camera is rebooting and do not loosen the button when the camera is rebooting.

The PIR camera with O in the model name provides an alarm output interface (EXT ALARM OUTPUT), and an external alarm equipment can be connected to the interface. When you want to connect DS-PEA1-21 with DS-PEA4H-10 by SIP server，you need configure something by iVMS-4200.

You can add two network cameras to the wireless security control panel, and link the camera with the selected zone for video monitoring. You can also receive and view the event video via client and Email.

To support AX Hub Wireless Control Panel 1.0.5 function, Wireless Output Expander DS-PM-WO2/8 support continuous output. In this situation, Wireless Output Expander DS-PM-WO2/8 need to be upgraded by RS232 cable.

When you want pop-up windows in HikCentral Client，you need configure something by HikCentral website and Client.

You can set the zone parameters on the zone page.

The Auto-Arm / Disarm feature can only be set up within the Insite software. Provision is made to have Arm / Disarm periods for each day or for set Holidays so that a building can be automatically secured. To enable the Auto-Arm, select the “Add Action” tab and select the day(s). To each day adjust the ‘Arm’ and ‘Disarm’ times as required

For AX PRO Panel, Login by Browser need use Hik-Connect account and password, so you need add the device to Hik-connect at first.

After Hikvision shuts down iVMS-4500 and HiDDNS services, installers who previously used iVMS-4500 and HiDDNS services can add devices to Hik-ProConnect to provide remote operation, maintenance and management services for end users. Devices can be added to Hik-ProConnect through P2P and IP/Domain. This document will introduce them in detail.

With the termination of the service of Hik-Online, the devices previously registered in HiDDNS will not be able to use HiDDNS service for remote login and access again. It is recommended that users use Hik-Connect to add and access devices. Devices can be added into Hik-Connect App mainly through Cloud P2P, Hik-Connect DDNS and IP / domain, which will be introduced in detail in this document.
